This section outlines the submission process for each collection. Further information is presented in the 'Deposit Agreement' tab of this Library Guide. You may also refer to the IADT Institutional Repository Policy.
If you have any questions please mail libraryrepository@iadt.ie.
Book chapters or excerpts may involve a work of writing that contains multiple chapters or a detailed written study completed by individuals or groups affiliated with the Institute.
Papers, presentations, lectures or proceedings may also be included in the Repository. Where possible, details should be provided regarding the title and date of the conference.
For journal articles, the pre-printed version i.e. the peer-reviewed, final unpublished version is required. This means that it should not include any of the publisher's details or formatting. It cannot be the the publisher's PDF. Where feasible, IADT encourages researchers to negotiate the right to Open Access with publishers. Where this is not feasible, ideally embargoes of less than 12 months should be agreed. Research that is subject to publication constraints can be stored within the Repository with only basic metadata pertaining to the item being accessible, thereby enabling interested readers to request a copy from the author. Once the embargo period has passed, the paper automatically moves to open status.
As per the Institute's Marks and Standards Policy, postgraduate theses which are awarded a grade < 2.1 are stored within the IADT Institutional Repository. The theses are catalogued within the relevant Faculty collection and under the specific course name. They can be searched by author, year and subject.
As per the Institute's Marks and Standards Policy, undergraduate dissertations which are awarded a grade > 2.1 are stored within the IADT Institutional Repository. The dissertations are catalogued within the relevant Faculty collection and under the specific course name. They can be searched by author, year and subject.
Papers of historical significance including the Trevor Scott Papers and Reverend Goff Diaries will also be included in this collection. Electronic copies of the content should be submitted to the Library using the libraryrepository@iadt.ie email. As part of the submission process, depositors will be asked to accept the terms and conditions of the Deposit Agreement.
The Library team will augment the item record in the Repository with appropriate metadata, thereby describing the submitted material and enhancing discoverability.
