Illustro Institutional Repository: Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for use of the Research Repository

The IADT Institutional Repository, Illustro, provides a platform to store your research/creative output, and share them to a worldwide audience.  This service is hosted on a platform that is hosted on a Figshare platform. As a member of IADT using this service, it is important that you are familiar and agree with the terms and conditions of publication.

The rights and responsibilities of Illustro and the depositors of content into it; are set out in the form of a deposit agreement, which spells out the Rights and Responsibilities of both the depositor and users of the Illustro Repository.

  1. Items may only be deposited by IADT faculty, staff members or students.  Files should be submitted to the libraryrepository@iadt.ie email address and will be managed accordingly.

  2. Confidential data or data that would breach agreements with third-parties should not be included.  If specific publisher or funders’ embargos are in place, these need to be highlighted so that only the metadata appears until after the embargo period.

  3. The validity and authenticity of the content of submissions is the sole responsibility of the depositor.

  4. By depositing content through this process, Depositors indemnify IADT and Figshare in respect of any and all claims for copyright infringement and/or any other infringement.

  5. IADT has the right to preserve the work to ensure its availability, regardless of technology changes.

  6. IADT will provide metadata of the work to public access catalogues.

  7. The work must not contain any extra security settings and must be the final corrected version of a thesis or the un-copyrighted version of an article, book or book chapter.

  8. IADT is permitted to share usage statistics detailing the number of downloads, views or other relevant statistics.

  9. IADT will not be liable for any loss or damage to the work while it is stored in the repository.
